University of Richmond’s Presidential Search

The University of Richmond has begun the search for its 11th president following President Ronald A. Crutcher’s announcement to the community in September 2020 that he had asked the Board of Trustees to begin the search for his successor.

The Presidential Search website provides information about the search process and will be updated periodically as the search progresses in the coming months. The first phase of the search committee’s work will focus on soliciting input from the University community to inform the search.

Presidential Selection Prospectus

Thanks to input from across the University community, the presidential search committee has created a position prospectus. Key themes are reflected in the “Position Summary” section outlining key institutional priorities and the profile of desired candidates.
